RSS with Content

1. RSS feeds with full content – This is usually done by bloggers since Wordpress, Blogger, and the other blogging applications generate the RSS feeds automatically in this manner. Each blog entry when published automatically is added as an item on the RSS file for that blog. The blog entries are seen in full by subscriber.

2. RSS feeds with partial content – News sites are the ones that usually generate feeds of this kind. Instead of including the entire content of an article what is done is that only the first paragraph(s) or a summary of the article is included in the feed. A link to the original article is then provided so that subscribers can go read the article in its entirety if the snippet they got from the feed proves to be interesting for them. This is definitely advantageous to users since they don’t have to scroll down a lot just to skip an uninteresting entry and will save them time by letting them have a general view of the latest entries without having to read them all at length. This is also advantageous to your website since users who are interested in your article will actually need to go to your website to read it, thus generating more traffic to your site.
